Akerman was famous due to her portrayal of Laurie Jolie/Silk Spectre I on Watchmen. Akerman also played Lara Axelrod in the infamous television series Billions. Her fame has been attributed to the roles she played as a naked lady in the films Deplorability and Guardians. Akerman got her start as a model, before transforming into acting.
